Professor Tai-leung Chong

Prof. Chong, MH, is the Associate Head of New Asia College, the Executive Director of the Lau Chor Tak Institute of Global Economics and Finance, and the Co-Director of the Global Economics and Finance Program, as well as an Associate Professor of Economics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He ranks in the top 5% of economists worldwide (RePEc). Prof. Chong has long been engaged in public policy and international affairs and is committed to bridging academic research and practice to provide strategic insights for Hong Kong’s development.

Kwok Kwok Chuen

Mr. Kwok is an Honorary Professor of the Business School at The University of Hong Kong. He has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. He held senior economist positions in the Office of the Commissioner of Banking and at the Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation, and he served as the Chief Regional Economist for East Asia at Standard Chartered Bank. From 2004 to 2008, he was appointed Government Economist by the SAR Government. Additionally, Mr. Kwok served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Academy of Finance from 2021 to 2023, where he contributed to financial leadership development and monetary and financial research in Hong Kong.
