Prof. Michael Wong is an Assistant Professor in Management and Strategy with a joint appointment in Economics at HKU Business School. He holds a PhD from MIT (2022) and a BA from Harvard University (2012). His research examines the microeconomic structure of markets and organizations, with a focus on labor, housing, and financial markets, and their implications for inequality and institutional adaptation.

Prof. Wong is a Fellow of the HKU CCCW, an Affiliate Researcher at the HKU Jockey Club ESG Research Institute, and a member of the HKU Real Estate Lab. His analysis has been featured in media such as the South China Morning Post, Ming Pao, HKEJ, and HKET.
